New Year's Around the World

           Beside Valentine’s Day February is known for Chinese New Year’s. There are a variety of different cultures represented here in Frear. Besides our language Residential Learning Programs (RLPs) we have people from all over the world living in our amazing building.

          As a tribute to the diversity of our population we are proud to present New Year’s Around The World, a multi- faceted celebration beginning on January 28 to February 3, 2011. Check out our display on the first floor by the bathrooms (available until February 28).

Welcome Frearians to our blog. This is where we begin our journey as a building.

First thing’s first what exactly is a Frearian? That’s just anyone who lives in the building or those who feel like they have a special affinity to Frear Hall (aka most likely, it’s YOU!). The 2010-2011 RAs coined the term based on the movie 300 and it just stuck from there.

As residents in Frear, we often go about our ever-so-busy lives that sometimes we just use our dorms rooms as a place to crash and do homework.  However, Frear is our second home and plenty of things go on in the building. . From programs, to announcements and opportunities, we, the RAs of Frear Hall created this blog for you, our residents and our friends to keep up to date with what is going on in the building.

This is an open venue for you to comment on how you feel about the programs and the building in general so please DO NOT hesitate to comment and subscribe to us via RSS. Please keep comments PC (politically correct) and appropriate. Any offensive comments or comments in another language will be taken down. (No hard feelings.)
